The Guardian List is a scheme we all dream of Sweet Revenge for criminals who deserve punishment but never receive it. John Brown, whose real identity is never revealed to his closest allies, makes our dream come true when he compiles The Guardian List, and his fellow Guardians, mostly retired police officers, are devoted to bringing criminals to the Guardians' type of justice. The most dedicated Guardian is Father Ignatius, whose faith is tested when nun, Mother Theresa, is savagely killed by a demented, hateful and cruel Klansman. When John Brown faces his own mortality, he must decide who will take his place.
The Guardian List A Novel edition by Lawrence Montaigne Literature Fiction eBooks
With all of the different genres in print, this book by Lawrence Montaigne is different. No "super" bad or good guys with improbable tools, this is a story about law enforcement men and women who are so fed up with our criminal 'justice' system where the bad people always get the breaks and the victims get the "shaft." Everyone is this story are people we have either experienced or learned about. People who sicken us.It is a good read! It engages us; the people are real; and yet the author makes us care about them and really makes us want to know what happens. Page after page. The feelings and emotions become our own. We want to know whar happens to each of them. The "perps" do not escape, but who stops them, and how they do it, makes you feel like the old, the infirm, the victims, do have POWER.
I encourage everyone to read this book:it will make a better person of you and to the strangers we all encounter each day.

The Guardian List A Novel edition by Lawrence Montaigne Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is a good novel. It has suspense and keeps you reading. Mr. Montaigne is a good writer. If you are a trekkie, this is a book to add to your book collection. No it is not a star trek story, but it is by a Vulcan. With Christmas coming up and you have a star trek fan, this is a good gift.
Reading this book made me ask myself, what would I do with an over-sized sense of justice, a quickly diminishing life expectancy, and unlimited funds at my disposal? When John Brown reads about yet another murderer who escapes the law on a technicality, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Who among us hasn't felt the same?
A roller-coaster ride with surprises along the way, Brown's story will leave you wondering who will be next on The Guardian List, and how will Brown's successor deal with the need for justice?.
I enjoyed reading "The Guardian List" written by actor Lawrence Montaigne, who died March, 2017. Lawrence was am excellent writer.
